Jaime Kolligian Announces Career Move to One of Our Valued Clients

Jan 22, 2019

It is with a sense of both sadness and pride that Kastner Westman & Wilkins announces the impending departure of KWW shareholder Jaime Kolligian. Jaime is leaving the firm effective February 8th to accept the newly created position of V.P. of Human Resources and General Counsel at Buckeye Corrugated, Inc. (“BCI”), which is a long-time client of KWW.

Jaime has spent the entirety of her legal career – nearly a dozen years now – at KWW. She started as an associate attorney fresh out of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Based on her growth in the practice of law and her outstanding service to clients, Jaime was made a shareholder in the firm in January, 2017.

In the last few years, Jaime has devoted an increasing amount of her professional time to serving the needs of BCI. “KWW has always provided outstanding service to us,” said Doug Bosnik, the President and CEO of BCI. “In the last several years, Jaime has been KWW’s point person for meeting our needs, working directly with our division management teams and corporate office. The chemistry has been incredible. She gets’ us, which makes her invaluable as an advisor helping to craft strategy and decisions for the long-term benefit of the company. The position we created was one we had often contemplated, but were waiting for a person who would fit within our culture and expand our team’s skills and capabilities. Jaime is that person and we greatly look forward to having the benefit of her undivided attention on a day-to-day basis.”

In announcing her departure, Jaime said, “I’ve been a part of KWW for my entire professional life. The shareholders have trained and mentored me. They’ve demonstrated to me what it means to be client-focused, ethical, and civic-minded. KWW has been like a family to me. It makes the decision to leave extremely difficult.”

In describing her new opportunity at BCI, Jaime explained, “I love wearing multiple hats. I am a litigator and relish the chance to zealously represent clients in legal disputes. I also have enjoyed the proactive side of KWW’s practice – helping clients devise sound policies and practices, providing training to employees and managers, and helping to keep employers out of trouble. In the end, I was unavoidably drawn to the opportunity to work in-house with a great company, be responsible for shaping its culture and employment environment, and doing it all with a leadership team that I greatly respect and admire.”

KWW shareholder Jim Wilkins said, “As much as Jaime says she will miss KWW, the firm will miss her even more. For such a young lawyer, her contributions to the firm and to the community in which we practice have been impressive. We are incredibly proud of her. This is a big opportunity for Jaime and everyone at KWW wishes her the best. For the firm, the silver lining is that Jaime will not become a stranger to us. Instead of being our peer within the firm, we will get to work with her as the client. We look forward to the evolution in our relationship.”

For those clients of KWW who know Jaime and have worked with her, the shareholders of KWW encourage you to reach out to her with an email or note congratulating her on this big career move. She can be contacted at jkolligian@kwwlaborlaw.com.
