OSBA-Certified Specialist in Labor and Employment Law
Jaime has spent her entire legal career at Kastner Westman & Wilkins LLC and is involved in all aspects of the firm’s employment defense practice, including employment litigation and workforce management. In this role, Jaime takes a practical approach in advising private and public sector employers on day-to-day employee relations matters, including terminations and leave management issues concerning ADA and FMLA compliance. Jaime also conducts workplace investigations and assists employers in responding to administrative charges before the EEOC, NLRB, OSHA and other state administrative agencies. She also works closely with employers during and prior to litigation to properly manage electronic discovery and forensic data investigations.
In addition, Jaime works with employers to update existing workplace policies and procedures that make sense for the organization, frequently presents on various HR topics through the firm's Rise & Learn series and conducts on-site employee and supervisory level training (e.g., leave management, sexual harassment, workplace conduct, and social media training). Jaime values her role in helping employers make tough decisions that affect their workforces and keeping employers up-to-date on key developments in federal, state and local labor and employment laws.
Other Personal Background Information and Interests
Jaime and her husband Scott have two young children. While parenthood consumes much of their free time, Jaime and Scott love to travel and remain active in the Akron community and serve many local non-profit organizations. Jaime is dedicated to supporting local entrepreneurs and mentoring young lawyers.
