Kastner Westman & Wilkins Marks 15th Anniversary with Move to New Fairlawn Office Space

Apr 20, 2015

Kastner Westman & Wilkins, LLC, a boutique labor and employment law firm representing management exclusively, marked its 15th anniversary, unveiled a new logo and moved into the newly designed and renovated first floor of the former A. Schulman corporate headquarters in Fairlawn.

The new office is at 3550 West Market Street, an approximately 13,500 square-foot space that significantly increases the footprint of KWW’s former office.

KWW began operations in 2000 with six founding partners who had practiced together for many years, and has since grown to 12 attorneys, nine office staff and Of Counsel affiliations with national firm FordHarrison LLP, and Douglas B. Brown, LLC. Today, KWW is one of Ohio’s largest labor and employment law firms, and represents organizations of all types and sizes around the state (and beyond), from Fortune 500 companies to smaller, regional businesses, institutions and public sector entities.

“Our consistent business growth since our inception was the primary driver for the move to a larger office space, and the fact we are able to stay in Fairlawn close to our former office and many of our clients was a welcomed additional benefit,” said James P. Wilkins, KWW shareholder. “The new office will accommodate our projected, continued growth, as well as give us additional space to serve our clients in new and better ways.”

Among the features of the new space is an HR Training Center conference room that the firm will use to host monthly continuing education credit seminars for human resources professionals. The “Rise & Learn” breakfast series begins June 11 with a two-hour workshop on the Family and Medical Leave Act. The small-group format sessions will continue throughout the year, and cover topics such as NLRB’s deferral standards, medical exams and inquiries, employee handbooks, performance evaluations, social media, and many more.

KWW provides employers with counsel and representation in affirmative action compliance, alternative dispute resolution, employee benefits, employment litigation, EEOC charges, human resources consulting, labor arbitrations and negotiations, occupational safety and health, trade secret and non-compete litigation, wage and hour issues, and workers’ compensation.
