Travis, a native of Northeast Ohio, joined the firm in 2017 as a law clerk and then as an associate in November 2018. Prior to law school, Travis sold industrial electrical equipment to steel mills and various manufacturers throughout the Midwest.
While in law school Travis clerked for the Ohio Office of Collective Bargaining and the Upper Arlington City Attorney during which he responded to unfair labor practice charges and allegations of discrimination, was involved in all steps of the grievance process, including mediation and arbitration, and reviewed employee handbooks and policies on behalf of the State and City. These clerkships inspired his interest in labor and employment law.
Travis’ practice with KWW includes all aspects of labor and employment law including, litigation, representation of employers before a vast array of federal and state administrative agencies, and collective bargaining negotiations and arbitration proceedings. Travis also works closely with other KWW attorneys and members of human resources to update existing workplace policies, and presents on various HR topics (e.g., medical marijuana, sexual harassment, workplace conduct, and social media training).
