Prior to law school, Julie served as a customer service supervisor for the Automotive Refinish division of PPG Industries, so she understands first-hand the challenges that can face an employer on a daily basis. Given her personal experience working with both customers and employees, Julie finds helping clients comply with the full range of labor and employment laws very fulfilling. In addition to providing proactive advice to clients, Julie represents employers in state and federal courts and before the EEOC and state fair employment practice agencies when discrimination claims arise.
Other Personal Background Information And Interests
While she was not born with the last name of Trout, Julie has spent a considerable portion of her life in the water as a competitive swimmer. She began competing at the age of six, and went on to swim as a member of a three-time state champion swim team at Hawken School, which she captained her senior year. Julie also served as the swim team captain at Grove City College, where she earned a degree in International Business and studied French and Spanish. Julie and her husband, Jon, find great joy in their young children, Katie, David and, Ellie. They are quite busy with chasing after them and answering thousands of (often humorous) questions that come from the children of an attorney and engineer.
