Doston has always believed in the power of curiosity, problem-solving, and service to others—a combination that led him to an engaging and rewarding career in law. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron, he spent two years teaching high school in Baltimore City as part of the Teach for America program, an experience that deepened his communication skills and passion for helping others navigate challenges. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he graduated with multiple honors, including the Labor & Employment Law Award for outstanding academic performance and the Martin Luther King Jr. Character & Achievement Award.

Doston brings over 15 years of legal experience to his work with a diverse clientele, ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, helping them navigate the ever-evolving workplace landscape.  He launched his legal career at Jones Day and subsequently served as Assistant Law Director for the City of Cleveland. In these roles, he honed his litigation skills and successfully managed complex labor and employment issues, including wage and hour disputes, discrimination claims, and management-side labor arbitrations. Doston went on to become Chief Legal Officer for a leading behavioral health organization and later served as Compliance Director at Akron Children’s Hospital, where he provided strategic counsel on regulatory and operational challenges. With experience as a litigator, advisor, and in-house leader, Doston understands the pressures clients face and the importance of clear, actionable advice.

Doston takes pride in being approachable and accessible to his clients. Understanding that legal matters can be overwhelming, he prioritizes active listening, simplifies complex issues, and provides practical, business-focused guidance. Whether navigating labor grievances, conducting workplace investigations, ensuring wage and hour compliance, or resolving sensitive employment disputes, Doston collaborates closely with employers to develop effective, tailored solutions that meet their specific needs.
