Kastner Westman & Wilkins Promotes Amanda Smith to Shareholder

Kastner Westman & Wilkins, LLC (KWW), a northeast Ohio boutique labor and employment law firm representing management exclusively, promoted Amanda S. Smith to Shareholder.

Smith has been with KWW for nearly 10 years. She’s an Ohio State Bar Association-Certified Specialist in Labor and Employment Law, a National Diversity Council Certified Diversity Professional and serves as KWW’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (“DE&I”) Officer. Smith is a graduate of the University of Akron School of Law, Kent State University (M.S.) and Allegheny College (B.S.).

Smith represents employers in many types of labor and employment matters, including labor negotiations and arbitration, litigation and alternative dispute resolution matters as well as charges before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Ohio Civil Rights Commission, and other state fair employment practice agencies. She also counsels employers on DE&I initiatives, wage/hour compliance, performance and leave management, discipline, and workplace policies.

Smith was rated among SuperLawyers’ Rising Stars in 2022. She’s a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and Akron Bar Association, where she’s the Chairperson of the Labor and Employment Section. Smith also serves her community as a board member for the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad as well as the Fairlawn Area Chamber of Commerce.
