Both Patrick and Pat are joining K|W|W from a Cleveland firm where they practiced together for fifteen years.

After getting his undergraduate degree from the College of Wooster, Patrick Watts graduated from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2002. He has practiced employment law for all of his twenty-one years as a lawyer. He is an OSBA Certified Specialist in Labor & Employment Law and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer since 2020.

Patrick’s practice has been focused on employment law, with a particular emphasis on employment litigation, including FMLA and FLSA matters. He also regularly provides proactive counsel to employers, particularly with respect to the FMLA and ADA. Patrick clearly shares K|W|W’s longstanding commitment to provide clients with practical, understandable advice that allows clients to succeed in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

Patrick lives with his spouse and three children in the Highland School District in eastern Medina County, a short distance from K|W|W’s Fairlawn office.

Pat Hoban has an undergraduate degree from Boston College. He received his law degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Akron School of Law in 2005. Pat is also an OSHA Certified Specialist in Labor & Employment Law. Clients benefit greatly from the varied work and life experiences he brings to his practice as a labor lawyer. Prior to law school, Pat served in the United States Navy and as a Fire Lieutenant/Paramedic in a Cleveland suburb. While serving as a firefighter, Pat was was elected to represent his IAFF local.

While Pat is an experienced litigator, he now devotes a substantial portion of his practice to traditional labor law, including contract negotiations, labor arbitrations, and counseling employers on labor law compliance matters. His clients greatly appreciate his calm demeanor and the down-to-earth approach that he brings to the sometimes excitable world of labor relations.

Pat and his spouse live in Hudson where they raised their two children.

While K|W|W has never aspired to growth for the sake of growth, we have always been willing to grow in order to effectively serve our clients and to add talented lawyers who share our commitment to great client service. Adding Patrick and Pat certainly strengthens the K|W|W team and enhances our ability to fulfill our mission: Your Workforce. Our Priority
