The proposed rules would dramatically accelerate the timeline for union elections, if passed. Wilkins’ article, which addresses the rules’ potential impact on small businesses, says if they’re implemented, “employers who place a value on maintaining union-free status will have to re-evaluate their strategies and preparedness for responding to organizing efforts.”
