The new year begins with a prominent peer-recognition accolade for six Kastner Westman & Wilkins labor and employment attorneys.
Shareholders Jim Wilkins, John McKenzie and Tom Green, as well as Of Counsel to the firm Karen Lefton each earned an Ohio Super Lawyers designation. Shareholder Amanda Smith and Associate Michael Karst were each named Ohio Rising Stars.
Each year, no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in Ohio are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. Super Lawyers, part of Thomson Reuters, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Rising Stars represent the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in Ohio who are under 40 and have 10 or fewer years of experience.
Wilkins was honored for the ninth straight year. Lefton is an eight-time recipient, while McKenzie has four and Green is a two-time awardee.
