Due to the partial government shutdown, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) recently announced that the deadline to submit 2018 Employer Information Reports (EEO-1 Reports) will be extended to May 31, 2019. According to the EEOC, the EEO-1 filing portal will open in “early March 2019.” Details and instructions for the 2018 EEO-1 Reports, including the exact date of the survey opening, will be provided by the agency in the coming weeks.
As a reminder, the EEO-1 Report is an annual survey that requires all private employers with 100 or more employees and federal government contractors or first-tier subcontractors with 50 or more employees and a federal contract, sub¬contract or purchase order amounting to $50,000 or more to file the EEO-1 Report.
