Please join us in congratulating K|W|W Shareholder Amanda Smith, who was named among an impressive group of community leaders as a recipient of the Greater Akron Chamber “30 for the Future” Awards.
“Amanda is a go getter. Her commitment to our community, K|W|W’s clients, advancing DE&I and the mentoring of new lawyers is unwavering. Amanda is deserving of this recognition,” said John McKenzie, K|W|W Managing Shareholder.
The award is based on peer recognition for individuals ages 25-39 who exhibit leadership both as a part of their company’s team and as an engaged leader in the Greater Akron community.
Specifically, recipients are those who’ve made a notable early-career impact through industry leadership, community involvement, and their forward-looking vision and optimism for Greater Akron. Honorees will be recognized at an annual awards event Sept. 12.
“I’m humbled and incredibly grateful to be counted among the group of leaders in our community who have also received this honor both now and in the past,” Amanda said.
Amanda joined the firm in 2014 after graduating summa cum laude from the University of Akron School of Law. She was promoted to Shareholder in December 2022.
Amanda is a recent graduate of Class 40 of Leadership Akron’s Signature Program and, in addition to serving her community on boards for the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad and Fairlawn Area Chamber of Commerce, she and her husband, Brian, are proud parents of two young boys.
