This accredited certification is held by roughly only 125 attorneys throughout the state of Ohio. Certified specialists demonstrate substantial and continuing involvement in a particular field of law, submit references from other lawyers and judges attesting to their competency in the specialty area, attend intermediate or advanced continuing legal education courses in the specialty area in addition to the courses required of all attorneys, remain in good standing with the Supreme Court of Ohio, pass a written examination in the specialty area, and maintain minimum professional liability insurance coverage.
Kolligian joined KWW in 2007 and spends most of her professional time advising and representing KWW’s private sector clients in all aspects of their HR and employment litigation needs. She has developed a keen knack for conducting live trainings on key employment issues. Social media, harassment, leave management and alternatives to performance evaluations are among her recent training sessions. Through KWW’s new Rise & Learn CLE and SHRM/HRCI series, Kolligian is confident that both she and her colleagues at KWW will continue to keep their clients apprised of the latest updates and other hot-button labor and employment law issues in 2016.
Kolligian also prides herself on maintaining an active presence in the Akron-area non-profit community, serving as a past committee lead and member of Torchbearers, and as an officer and member of the Summit County Volunteer Leadership Council for the American Cancer Society. She resides in Copley with her husband Scott, who is also an attorney, and their two children.
