Liz earned her law degree from Cleveland State University College of Law, after a bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron. She has practiced with firms across Northeast Ohio throughout her career, including a stretch running her own labor and employment firm. She has counseled employers of every size on hiring, discipline, wage and hour compliance, restrictive covenants, workplace investigations, drug-free workplace policies, OSHA matters, and labor grievances and arbitrations. She also handles the full range of FMLA and ADA compliance questions that keep HR professionals up at night.
Liz is a longtime speaker and writer on workplace compliance, presenting to HR groups, chambers of commerce and safety councils across the state. She has a knack for turning dense legal requirements into practical guidance that business owners and HR teams can act on right away, in a training session or a one-on-one conversation.
Other Personal Background Information and Interests
Liz and her husband Bill spend endless hours working on their century home in Lakewood – Liz typically in the yard and Bill on a ladder somewhere! She is involved in nearly every ministry in her church and also devotes both professional and lay time to the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio. You can often find her walking around Lakewood, working on her Koi pond or spending time with her two children and grandson.
