Kastner Westman & Wilkins Shareholders John McKenzie, Tom Green and Jim Wilkins were named to the “Best Lawyers in America® 2027 Edition,” released today. McKenzie, the firm’s Managing Shareholder, was named “Lawyer of the Year” in the Labor Law-Management category in the Akron Metro region.
Additionally, Michael Karst, Senior Counsel, was named “Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.”
The firm’s Best Lawyers honorees each earned the distinction in three categories: Employment Law – Management, Labor Law – Management, and Litigation – Labor and Employment.
“Peer recognition like this is a genuine honor,” McKenzie said. “It also speaks to something bigger, the depth of knowledge and responsive client service that runs across our entire attorney roster, many of whom are mentored by and work closely with the attorneys being recognized.”
McKenzie earned Best Lawyers honors for the sixth year in a row, and Lawyer of the Year for the second time.
Green earned Best Lawyers honors for the fourth time, while Wilkins, a Shareholder Emeritus, is a nine-time awardee.
Ones to Watch recognizes attorneys early in their careers. This marked Karst’s fifth time on the list.
Each year the international Best Lawyers organization conducts confidential peer-review surveys to recognize the leading lawyers across a range of legal practice areas.
